In times when everyone is talking about renewable energy, we are mindful of our responsibility towards nature. In our modern model power plant, which is open to the public, we produce eco-power and supply long-distance heating. In our SichtBAR we use regional products, always with an eye to freshness and quality.

Why not take the unprecedented opportunity to look over the master cheese maker’s shoulder. Enjoy the culinary delights on the varied menu of the Zillertal Dairy kitchen. The milk and cheese products from the Zillertal Dairy can then be purchased in the dairy shop.
Schaukäserei Fügen – The show cheese dairy
Here you will gain an impression of the work of the master cheese maker and learn all you want to know about cheese production. A visit to the Fügen show cheese dairy will fascinate the whole family, constantly offering new insights and information about the transformation of one of our most precious raw ingredients, milk. Moments of wonder: in the realm of the Giant, with its 14 Chambers of Wonder, famous artists have variously interpreted and staged artistic designs in crystal. Through its exhibitions and events, time and again Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds) fascinates with the infinite mutability of this sparkling material. The shop at the end of the tour is the highlight for every visitor!

We are happy to welcome you to the “mother of all mines”. The largest silver mine of the Middle Ages is open to visitors every day until 16 November. An extraordinary experience awaits you underground after your 800-metre deep descent on the mine railway. Follow the traces of the miners who extracted silver and copper here over 500 years ago and be transported to a time when the world was still a disc.
Regional Museum Zell
The Ental farm was built in Burgstall/Schwendau in 1713 (as shown by the date on the Firstbaum – a part of the roof). In 1991, in order to preserve and secure this culturally precious centuries-old structure, it was decided to transfer the farm from its original location and rebuild it in Zell am Ziller, where it has been turned into a museum.
Zillertalbahn – Nostalgia train
Especially for families, a trip by steam train on the Zillertalbahn is to be recommended. Then we recommend continuing on the Achsensee steam cog railway (combined ticket incl. ship available at the station!)
Achensee and steam cog railway
Particularly suited to families – A ride by steam cog railway from Jenbach into the Achental valley and then a boat ride on the Achensee Lake or a gentle walk along the lake to the Gaisalm meadow (approx. 1 hour).
